Has anybody connected an echo sounder to a Lorenz compact 7 sun color
chart plotter?

If so, how is the signal visualized on the screen? Is it like a stand
alone echo sounder, or is it a more simple representation?
Do you have to use a Lorenz transducer or does any type (using
NMEA0183) work?
All info about this subject are of interest.
