SR62 SmartRadio AIS Transmitter Module

Any one here has experienced the SR62 AIS Transmitter Module ?
I am thinking to setup an only TX AIS to be used as SART, in case of
need. I have, on board, AIS receiver for the normal use.
I presume the SmartRadio unit could be an economical solution for
emergency.
