Default 10KW peak, 5KW continuous inverter...(c;

Looks like a good buy to me! Suppose there must be a couple of big bolts on
the back to allow you to use the power which is surplus to the 15 apm
outlets in the front.

Gotta love Harbor Freight. Here's a 10KW peak, 5KW CONTINUOUS DUTY 110vac
INVERTER for $999!
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=47812

Of course, we're gonna have to have new house batteries that'll run 24
hours at 370 amps, continuous, and 750 amps peak to use it. My house has
200A electric service using #000 triplex cabling. According to Blue Seas
wire chart #0000 ampacity is 485 amps so we'll need bigger than that for
the full peak load, but it's ok at 5KW. We'll hold our breath as the 12
ton air conditioner that's SURE to cool the damned boat in Charleston in
August cranks up...(c;

Wonder how I'm supposed to hook #0000 to those little screws on the
inverter?? Won't 750 amps melt the screws??

I wanna see it put out 5KW into a big string of 120 VAC heaters for an
hour....(c; If we find room to mount those 7' tall 2V submarine cells

that
weigh a ton EACH, we'll have that damned noisy MarineAire running off the
house batteries in no time, now!

Larry

Nothing is funnier than watching a boater, with a new 5KW inverter,
carrying his electric heater down the dock with a big smile on his
face....(c;
