You also assume that he's a competent atheist who doesn't have an underlying subconscious belief in god whether he wants it or not. He's the one who used the phrase "holy hell". Odd choice of words for someone who claims to be an atheist. That's why I suggested the likely effect of applying a feather to Jon. I think you just want to tickle Jon.
