This EPA requirement is a total bureaucratic nightmare - and it appears that there is absolutely no concerted outrage or protest by the recreational boating community... Wake up, boaters, and start calling, emailing or writing to your so-called "elected representatives" to pass the Clean Boating Act of 2008 (S.2766 and H.R. 5949) NOW, as these new regulations will take effect on September 30 at 11:59pm. I'm not the least bit worried about it. It's total bull**** and totally unenforceable. I've ignored the waste disposal laws to date because they are equally stupid and unenforceable. I just don't understand what everybody is so upset about. This is garbage legislation. It's not even legal and it cannot be enforced. Don't get your panties all in a wad because of this stupidity. Don't bother protesting to some lame government official. They are the problem and not the solution. The solution is a hefty dose of civil disobedience. Wilbur Hubbard |

The issue under discussion is not about elections, politics, or whatever else is under your saddle. Keep on topic or go to Sailing Anarchy, they love to DISCUSS points of view. |

A few whining complaining letters and phone calls to government officials won't do squat. They have their own agenda and none of it is in our best interest. They don't give a hoot about what a few homeboys have to say. Believe it. The best thing to do is chill. Don't fret. It won't amount to a hill of beans. There is no way on God's green earth they can ever enforce that liberal judge's decree who legislated it from the bench. Then entire thing is bogus from the very start. It ain't gonna happen. There isn't enough police manpower in the entire country to make it stick. Civil disobedience is the answer to this kind of crap. Don't even play their games. Wilbur Hubbard |

Spoken by a bloke sitting on the shore who is afraid to post to the Internet using his own name and address.. Who is this brave man? A fool who knows his foolishness is wise at least to that extent, but a fool who thinks himself wise is a fool indeed. |
