Default Butane Soldering Iron

Thought this may be of some use to you cruisers without inverters and
big batteries. Been using a butane soldering iron for field work for
many years and just realized it would be great on our "planned"
long-term cruise. The link is www.masterappliance.com. The iron I
use is model UT-50, but there are many other models. I don't work for
the company. Just wanted to pass on the suggestion.

Unless you're talking BIG jobs, I just use a 12VDC iron - plenty for
electrical work. I think I got it at Radio Shack.
