Hi Roger:

In case you rae serious about becoming a better/safer/stronger sailor
my PT friend told me to get a book. I bought it online and have read
and used it for the alst week.

I recomend it for you and others who still may be in the sate of
ignorance or denial regarding lower back pain or injury.

Give it a read. Its all research based not some tofu needle poking how
to get in shape with out doing anything infomercial. Youll need to
pencil in 30 min every morning before your meds and caffine. But it
will be worth it.

Jemmett, Rick. Spinal Stabilization: The New Science of Back Pain.
Libris Hubris Publishing, Canada. 2nd Edition, 2007 (ISBN
0-9688715-1-8). Sorry I didnt follow MLA or APA or kate Turabin. I
dont have my style book with me.

Thanks. I'll look it up.

I'm pretty much back to normal activity level now with just some leg
numness and muscle cramping at night that the doctor tells me should fade
as the protruding part of the disk is reabsorbed.

Worth doing almost anything to avoid going through that again.

You should get your doc to prescribe HGH, testosterone, EPO, THG, creatine,
co-Q10, omega 3 fatty acids (fish oil), niacin, Lisinopril and amlodipine
(opens and relaxes blood vessels).

Take all the above and you'll heal right up and feel like a 20-year-old
again. Oh, and take a baby aspirin a day to keep your blood thinner for
better control of swelling.

I'm thinking if Roger took all those drugs, he would be the poster boy for
the
"be ready when she is" industry, and the spokesman of the "grow another ten
inches this week" email company that keeps sending stuff to me.

On a serious note ,, the aspirin a day is a good idea.

Hi Roger,
Thank you for the cordial response. You didnt take my sarcastic bait.
Good for you. I shall not plonk kill file you or what ever comuter
nerds do.

Well, Ive pulled sucessfully two AWG 2/0 thirtysix foot cables out of
my boat, had my 4 tacos asada from the local taco truck. Its nearly
sun set so me thinks a long walk along the water is in order. Tomarro
brings ordering some cool Blue Seas switch thingys n $ome seventy five
feet of 2/0 AWG battery cable for my windless. God I love spending
money on my boat. Sure beats child support or house payments or soccer
shoes or gas money to visit some inlaws I hate !
;)

Hope your evening goes well.....
O, and asprin is great unless ya bump ur head. Then, accoding to an OR
RN friend of mine ya bleed out and go brain dead.
Asprin does a great job of getting the blood to flow and NOT CLOT!
Ups, there is a down side to everything. I take mine daily :)

Change your doctor. He said the same about your back and varicose
veins.

Roger,
You may care to try using an electronic nerve stimulator. The one I
have at home is excellent and is an "Omron" brand. The one I keep on
the boat is another brand (can't remember it) but just as good..

They have two stick on pads that act as electrodes and are powered by
two AAA batteries (badderys in US dialect). They have settings that
vibrate, knead, tap and a number of other stimuli. I sometimes have
back pain and these relieve the pain like magic. I also broke both
ankles at seperate times in my youth. As I have gotten older, I get
pain in them during cold weather - also relieved by the device.

They are also excellent for putting on the lower legs during long
aeroplane trips in order to stimulate good lower limb circulation.

They are not much good for deviant vibration techniques though I
imagine that some people will get a kick out of anything.

Pharmacies in Australia and Malaysia sell them and I presume that they
are available in the US.

regards
Peter
