Being charitable isn't about fobbing off defective crap on children. (that's what toy stores do). A local scout troop rebuilt a 38 foot sailboat. An A scow, all of which were used and wood at the time. Since then the scows are back in production and in fiberglass, but at the time all the available A boats were used, wood, and falling apart.
