Sure is a quiet winter....

Sure has been a quiet week or two on rbc. Is there some kind of new drug
out I'm not aware of? Cabin fever usually has the group in a tither and
fights break out in the crew by now!...(c;

The marinas in Charleston sure look full. Boat show at the end of the
month ($9 to look at advertising) will give us something to do. Raining on
the docks in the cold this morning making it miserable to get to the
parking lots.

Supposed to clear on Sunday....and turn even colder as the Arctic air mass
runs over us....(sigh)

Hawaiian coffee sure tastes extra good this morning. Maybe because I
turned 62, yesterday, and am now getting my first dose of SS welfare money
in devalued banknotes....

Larry,, it was $13 dollars to look at the advertising at the New England
Boat Show.
You got yourself a deal.

It rained here yesterday... but before that; we started with a blizzard,
snowing up the ass,
then an ice storm, followed by driving rain... then the sun came out..

Happy birthday..

Just think.. that SS check could have bought you a new something about 5
years ago.
Now that the USA is broke, run by total morons, you can't afford a dog
biscuit.

But don't get yourself down.. Hillary Clinton and Borat the Obama, they are
going to
take care of you. You won't even have to wipe your ass. Nothing.. all
your problems
will be behind you.. literally.

ps.. the US government is building a yacht basin in Iraq!

Yup,, those nice Iraqi's need a place to keep the sailboats that we are
buying and building for them.

Have a nice birthday...

Go - Gar - ty ..

You have used the wrong word in your posting ..

Let me correct .. "When all else fails we can retreat to the boat".

Rather than "retreat" you should use "escape" ..

Take a look at the stock market, and our government leaders!

A mere youngster. Don't knock Social Security. For us, it's the difference
between having a boat or not having one. When all else fails we can
retreat
to the boat.

Sure is a quiet winter....

Cold and raining here in Macon and will get colder over the next few days.
No way to retreat or escape to Rutu as it is even colder in the boat shed.
Fortunately I am leaving for the BVI Wednesday so this miserable weather
will just make me appreciate it that much more. A friend has invited down
to spend a few days on his mega yacht and see how de rich folk live. :-)

Being on a boat and not having to fix something will be a new experience for
me.:-)

Hey..I've got a deal for you.
My buddy in Road Town, Tortola has invited me down to spend a couple weeks
on his 32 Irwin that he picked up cheap after it was hurricane damaged a few
years ago. You'd feel more at home on his fixer upper and I'd be much more
comfortable on your buddies yacht.
Can we work a deal? ;-)

He just forgot to mention to you what he needed you to do when he
called......

You'd be bored and couldn't sleep, anyways hearing that knocking noise in
the engine room, so he knows you can't stand it and will have it torn
down to investigate and fix the day after you arrive...just like me...

Yeah...I guess he didn't bite. My offer would have been more of a
challange for him. Anyone can sit around on a mega yacht where everything
works ...

I bet everything on an italian customer motor yacht falls apart just
exactly like it does on a Catalina 27....except the Catalina isn't stranded
in the process, dead in the water.

Putting more polish on boat crap doesn't make it better, just shinier.

The big difference is the motor yacht owner tells his crew it better be
perfect. The Catalina guy has to save up for that new heat exchanger on
HIS diesel...(c;
