Skip's recommendations are sound, but you almost *have* to get some crabs at the Tap Room. Just got back from dinner there. Excellent. I'd been there before by car about 10 years ago but couldn't remember the name of the place. The dockmaster at Chesapeake Inn mentioned it and I recognized it as soon as we walked up the hill. Tomorrow we are going to Bohemia River. Any recommendations there? The good news at Chesapeake City is that the entrance channel depths are significantly greater than on the charts. The trick is to stay close to the Corps of Engineers dock on the eastern side as you are coming in. We never saw less than 9 feet at mid tide. |
