Canal Alternatives, Across Mexico or USA by truck?

I'm looking into several alternate methods of getting my boat East without
doing the damn canal again. Across Canada to the Great Lakes (Vancouver to
???) , Across N. USA to the Great Lakes (Seattle or up the Columbia aways to
Duluth, Minnesota, Across middle USA from Sacramento to . .. ?, Across S.
USA San Diego to Houston.

What does Mexico have to offer? I asked because someone mentioned San
Carlos to San Diego and it got me wondering?

How big a boat? I trailered my 26' cruiser (13' tall, 9.5' wide,
10,000#) from Seattle to Minnesota three times without problems. Lots of
gas, but no problems. The Rockies are tall (especially around Bozeman,
MT), long and 6% grade sometimes, the roads are always bad in Idaho, but
it was worth it.

Canal Alternatives, Across Mexico or USA by truck?

33' LOA 31' LOD, 9 1/2' Beam, about 8' high keel to cabin top with mast
down. 7 tons or so. I'm thinking along the same lines but don't know the
height, width, etc. restrictions. Might be able to a. rent a hauling unit
or b. use a flat bed low boy truck. It's a twin keel boat so not difficult
to block and brace. Westerly Berwick. Cost to cross Canada Richmond, BC to
Sault Ste. Marie is $3600 US $5500 Canadian. This includes all permits and
insurance etc and I could get it in the water even sooner. Sounds cheaper
than going through the panama canal again considering costs, time, wear and
tear.
