Default Mercury 4.3 L Winterization Problem

Has anyone winterized their 4.3 L Mercury Engine according to their
owners manual and noticed that it does not contain the correct
information?

Our engine cracked from freezing because it contained 5 plugs that
were not mentioned in the manual. We removed the plugs that we knew
about, but it turned out that there many others that you could not
even see and not mentioned in the manual.

Mercury's website states that we are to refer to the owners manual
for
the locations of the drain plugs, but they didn't show the proper
locations.

We are considering a class action against Mercury for false
information, just wondering if anyone else had this problem. I know
when I spoke to our dealer, they said the Mercury reps were on the
phone all morning dealing with the same issue in other places....
