Tom (whoever),

Back when you were being coy about your kind of boat, location, and name,
you teased me that I could figure it out from the Wentworth part of your
alias and that you weren't far away. We now know that the boat is a Bristol
32 at Great Bay Marine in Newington, NH due to my running across a listing
with your email address as the contact.

You have also used the name Benning Wentworth here and your header used to
list your organization as the Colonial Governor's Office.

While researching sites in the Portsmouth area for a friend interested in
old houses, I ran across this institution:

http://www.nhstateparks.org/ParksPag...ntCoolHom.html

It is the former home of Benning Wentworth who used to be the Colonial
Governor of New Hampshire and is just down the river from your marina.

Better get a roll of tinfoil and fold up another hat. The current one is
getting a little thin

Roger ... ace detective..

You have uncovered my cover. Ooops.

I am sure you are familiar with Wentworth by the Sea? The big white hotel?
In Little Harbor, NH?
Read on ,, Benning Wentworth.
================================================== ============================

Benning Wentworth (1696-1770) was the colonial governor of New Hampshire
from (1741-1766). He was born and died in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He was
the son of the John Wentworth who had been Lieutenant Governor. His nephew
John Wentworth succeeded him.

Wentworth enriched himself by a clever scheme of selling land now in the
state of Vermont to developers, in spite of jurisdictional claims for this
region by the Colony of New York. He often named the new townships after
famous contemporaries in order to gain support for his enterprises (e.g.
Rutland after John Manners, 3rd Duke of Rutland; Bennington he named after
himself). Ultimately, this scheme led to a great deal of contention between
New York, New England, and the settlers in Vermont. It created friction
between the northeast colonies, and the dispute was hardly settled by the
formation of Vermont as a state.

Wentworth also gave important government positions to relatives and gave
them extensive grants of land. He was allowed to retire from office in 1766.

Fort Wentworth built in 1755 at Northumberland, New Hampshire was built by
his order and named after him.

================================================== =================================

Old Benning was a CROOK.. pure and simple. But .. he did one thing right..
At the age of 64 he married his house keeper who was like .. 20?

So,,, I figure .. 20? Me and a 20 year old?

I checked with Larry ,, he approves.

======================================

ps... Benning's nephew was the last Royal Governor of NH. When you sail
into Portsmouth, you go past a fort on your port side. It is where the USCG
station is. This is where John Wentworth fled to when the NH Boys came a
calling.

20? Too old for me. I like middle aged broads around 16.
