It really depends on your engines application and build. If it was my money, I WOULD send the injectors to a "Knowledgeable" Injector Rebuilder, (Hatch & Kirk in Seattle, WA is a very good place) and have them rebuilt to the same SPec as the ones in the engine now. You just never know what your buying on Ebay, and after a "Good Rebuild", you WILL know that what you have is appropriate, for YOUR Application. Bruce in alaska who owns a 4-108 Gensets I don't know if they still do it this way but Perkins used to make up engines in lots of 100 or more, with each engine in the batch being made to the same spec. The way to track down the right part for any part, including injectors, is to go to the engine number. The engine number will give you the 'build list' number (the number of the batch) and the build list will give you the correct part number for every component in the engine. [Most manufacturers operate a similar system]. An Perkins dealer or service agent should have the information you require. Start with the engine number and go from there. Eric Stevens |
