That answers one of the questions I had--whether BoatUS was in the insurance business. Apparently they're not. They're simply selling Cigna access to their members. That's not an entirely accurate characterization, Dave. Cigna underwrites the insurance, but BoatUS administers it. It's actually more than that. Cigna is the insurance underwriter (iow, they assume the risk), but that's ALL Cigna does. You can't buy the same policy from any other Cigna agent...the policies that BOAT/US sells are "designed" specifically for BOAT/US, who does all the work. -- Peggie ---------- Peggie Hall Specializing in marine sanitation since 1987 Author "Get Rid of Boat Odors - A Guide To Marine Sanitation Systems and Other Sources of Aggravation and Odor" http://shop.sailboatowners.com/books...ku=90&cat=1304 |
