You know how smells trigger memories. The smell of diesel really does
it for me. It brings back memories of when I was an oilfield engineer in Wyoming and all the crazy people I knew. It also brings back lots of sailing memories because I am always tinkering with my engine. So, when I came home this afternoon smelling of diesel from replacing my boats fuel pump, I thought it was a good smell, like the ultimate masculine cologne. My wife told me when she came near me "SHOWER" and put those clothes outside to air in the sun. Clearly, her sense of smell is distorted. |
