Default Catalina 250

**** you don't even know anything about the boat your (?) buying. The XL stood
for Extra Light.

Why not save yourself the humiliation and look up the three 36's built by C&C
in that period.
The Plus: A version with a cruising bent. Smaller rig and less tunable with
more ameneties.
The R: A stripped out racer version with less tankage and a simple lightweight
interior.
The XL: A combination of the R and Plus with the same level of rig, but a nicer
cabin than the plus.

As usual, Loco, you don't know what you're talking about. Been aboard an XL?
It's fast! But it's also a full blown cruiser with a better layout than a
Catalina 36. I test sailed the 34XL last week. You were probably never aboard
one!
