Default Sun Ray

I am in the process of buying my first boat. One contender is a 28 ft 1990
Sun Ray 2800 Infiniti. My concern is that I believe this company went
under a few years ago.

To what extent would you seasoned boaters think that this is an issue??
Any general comments on Sun Ray's quality?

Any comments most appreciated

Thanks

Sun Ray - not Sea Ray...
My nephew got a late '80's 18' the other day - supposedly it was
well kept, and the v-6 runs ok - but I noticed that all the underseat
plywood has pretty much disintegrated (a coupla waves and
there's sawdust everywhere) and the underdash wiring has
pretty much fallen apart. For a freshwater boat in SoCal,
it seems to show a lot of corrosion...
Haven't found anything we can't fix in short order. Already
finished the trans overhaul and cable replacements.

May be a good reason they went under.

Hey - I spent no small amount of time searching Sea Ray's site
wondering why I couldn't find any information for the Sun Ray...

Heluva note.
