Default Moving boat from Los Angeles to Florida (Vero Beach)

Truck it to Texas then sail across the gulf, spend a few days in Tampa, St
Pete, Then go through the Okeechobee waterway to the east coast. You can
skim the Gulf Coast along the"Redneck Riviera" and duck inside to the ICW if
things get too bumpy outside.

Hi all,

We are thinking about moving to Florida and one of the problems we have is
to figure out how to get our Beneteau 361 there.
Should we sail it, use a trucking company?

Any information would be great and appreciated!

Thanks

Wolf

Question - Did it come with SAILS or a TRUCK?

Any volunteers to help Wolf sail his nice Beneteau from LA to FL
besides ME?!

When do we leave, Wolf? I need to pack....(c;

Hmm....if we don't hurry, we could spend Christmas in Panama enjoying
the warm weather....maybe stop and visit Belize on this side just to
make sure hurricane season is REALLY over....hmm....

We should get to Florida by, maybe, March? April? So many islands,
so little time!

3600 planes with transponders are burning 8-10 million
gallons of kerosene per hour over the USA. R-12 car air
conditioners are responsible for the ozone hole, right?

Another option. Sell your boat there and buy another in Florida. Boats
are generally much (?) cheaper in the southeast. You'd probably come
out ahead in the deal or at least even considering the cost of
shipping...and *plus* the un-rigging, haulout, re-stepping the mast,
bottom paint, storage while looking for a slip, yadda, yadda, yadda.
