My general feeling has been that Hunter has stepped up the build quality in the last few years, so if you're looking at very recent boats Hunter may be a better pick, unless you have serious plans to race. Many will say the Beneteau's sail better, but that may not be the only consideration when choosing. I do prefer the Beneteau's looks.
