Default That thin radiant barrier/insulation stuff

Thin aluminum and -as I recall - bubble wrap? Or maybe it was a closed
cell foam and aluminum?

Find it at Lowes and Home Depot.

Yes, possibly. If you need a lot, it'll be more expensive there by far.

At Lowes or HD. You can get it right from the manufacturer...

Wouldn't the shipping costs eat up any price differential? The stuff is
lighter than light, but also bulkier than bulky. A roll such as I bought at
Menard's is a cylinder roughly 4 feet by 18 inches or so. UPS would charge
about $50 to ship a 48x18x18 package, weighing 5 pounds, by ground from my
Green Bay area to Los Angeles.

I checked at Lowe's today.

2'x50' for about $27 and 4'x50' for $47.

Hard to beat.

Not bad. I guess I was thinking about the quantity for an entire attic, not
the quantity for a boat. :-)

I recall it was about $150 for 500' x 4/5' foot roll wholesale.
