HI:
Since I am elbo deep in deck hardware rebeding and portlight replacing,
I say take the davets appart and replace the fasteners. Then at least
you know what ya got. How did I know it was time to replace all my deck
hardware fasteners? I kept finding flat head machine screw heads on my
deck that had poped off................ Creeping stainless steel
corrision is a bitch.

Oh, on a more personal note.............. remove the davits and trade
for some beer. It'll make your life a lot safer.
