What happened to Schaefer's Canal House on the C&D canal?

What happened to Schaefer's Canal House on the C&D canal?

It was shut down when I went through the canal on July 2. The dock seemed
to be falling into the canal. Signs were posted indicating docking at
penalty of death. Does anyone know the story?
