Way too many qualifiers in your language for my liking. It's an
unethical strategy used by people to sound important, knowledgeable,
and authoritative when actually the speaker is lacking credibility.
This strategy is used primarily by "know-it-alls" and other pompous
asses.

I would really appreciate it if you no longer made comments of our lack to get our
boat to CA.

Sorry honey, I aint your husband. Go bark up some other tree.
Woof--Woof.

It is not an easy sail back. Especially during
the winter months.

This statement alone will sever as my example. Here you make a claim as
if you have some personal knowledge of HI-CA voyages, and by your own
words “... especially in winter months.… If you dohave that
type of experience seems to me you would just thumb through your World
Cruising Routes: 5th Edition by Jimmy Cornell and check out the Ocean
Prediction Center weather fax for the area, that is, since you have
lead these readers to think that you have personal knowledge of winter
passages from HI to CA.

I just took a look at the OPC latest and looks pretty good. Three big
STNRY 1022 Mb H sitting below the 30N line. Looks like 10-25 K 270
degrees seas 2-3 M along the 35N line.

Hey, down wind sailing most the wayï?Š Tell your husband to go for
it,,,,, that is if he isn't to bussy at the store buying your tampons
and fretting over the laundry he has to fold for you.

Since you do not want me to respond to your post. I have a polite
request for you:
I would really appreciate it if you no longer make comments about my
opinion.

Bad Mood Bob

And since she isn't 'your wife'... why don't you go beat-up on your
own...if you have one.

I appologize Don. I agree. The reason why I read these and post
questions is because of the wealty of solid information I find here.
Thank God boat.cruising is not like sailing.asa and I hope it will stay
as peacefull and informative as usual.

But sometimes I just get fed up with some of this crap and fall from
grace. Yes, I agree not a very nice thing to say................ but
hey, she took the bait and jumped into the flotsom with boat feet.

That sometimes happens when one hangs bait.

Seems to be a fairly common form of recreation on the net.

But this does sound like a sincere appology.

And that is not that common at all.

Yes, for many. For me my tolerance was at an all time low for those who
use word choices in an effort to sound authoritative. Oh, the other
strategy I disliked was the common, ya but...." Ya know the type who
ask for advice only to reply with, "ya but"

But this does sound like a sincere apology.

That is the problem with written messages. 93% - 65% of the meaning of
a message is from the non verbal part of the message. When we lack such
a rich channel as non verbal people tend to misinterpret the intentions
of the sender. Remember:

Its not what you say, its .............
Actions speak louder than........
etc.

So if you think my word choices as not being sincere you respond to me
believing that. And that is one common way misunderstanding occur.

Actually I was directing my apology to this group and Don White. Not to
the woman boomerswim.
