Roger's right. I didn't have $2,500, so I went part way with my 26
footer. I paid to have the old paint soda blasted off for about $25/Ft. It removed the old ablative and the barrier coats, and exposed all the blisters that had been hidden. I then spent 50 hours digging out and filling blisters, finish sanding the entire hull, applying 3 barrier coats and 3 ablatives. It was very rewarding but I'll never to it again. Next time I'll have it blasted and inspect it thoroughly after blasting, blister repair, barrier and ablative coats and pay for all that. Good luck!
