We've all heard of the kitty litter solution, and many of us have the
Sears type small-file-cabinet sized dehumidifiers at home. But is there a small or mini-sized dehumidifier that can run on shore power or via an inverter that's appropriate for the typical 30 to 35' LOA x 9' to 12' beam x 6 boat? I regularly use a small ceramic "cube heater" with fan to keep the boat toasty at either end of the season, but if it's rainy and windy and you're stuck below, it gets drippy and miserable pretty quickly. In the same vein, what's the smallest dimensional microwave that's a Best Buy? Let's assume it's for heating single dishes and a small size and low draw are more important than speed. Suggestions welcomed, and unless the "marine" version is utterly superior, let's stick with civilian gear, please. I sail on a Great Lake for barely six months a year. R. |
