Fraser 41 Sloop
I'm looking at a Fraser 41 Sloop built by Dekleer Bros. out of
Richmond B.C. My initial inspection leads me to believe she is very well built. I've been getting some conflicting information on whether these boats have cored hulls or not. The bilge area of the boat looked like solid fiberglass to me. The decks are supposed to have end grain balsa coring. I wasn't able to get to the water tanks on my initial inspection. They are supposed to be fiberglass tanks. I located waterlines disappearing under the floorboards under the settees. I'm a little concerned about accessibility for maintenance/inspection. I guess my last concern is that I wasn't able to inspect the chainplates. This is a very nice looking boat. Doing an online search on this model shows that there a quite a few out there cruising. I'd like to find out a few more things before plunking down a big chunk of change though. Thanks, Ray Erps |
