Default further to the avoidable dangers post

I've heard a write-up about them on one of the rags a while back. I
don't think they reach out very far, but on a sailboat even a few
hundred feet or thousand feet would be good enough notice, provided
there is an alarm. But it seems to me there is a littel fanfare about
them once in a while, maybe when someone hits a container and makes it
in the news, and then people forget about them.
I personally have them pretty far down on the list, in the "i'd rather
spend the money cruising" category. (Well, I've a _lot_ of things down
in that category, so I may not be a good example
