Just to stir the pot a little, I have a friend who cruised on a jet ski
from Lauderdale over to West End, took him about 6 hours and then he
took it the rest of the way to Green Turtle for nearly 15 hours. There
were two jet skis involved in this trip. One had a 2 cycle engine and
the other a 4 cycle. Prior to the trip, they had to develop a way to
re-fuel in open sea without getting water in the fuel which involved a
special fuel cap lid. They had to refuel the 2 cycle 4 times and the 4
cycle only twice. The return trip was done in several stages.
Strangely, he plans to do it again!
