Oops! Sorry, I thought it was another of the solar powered lights.

What light are you talking about? The SL05 runs on 12V. You wire it up
with a switch, just like anything else. When you supply power, it comes
on automatically at dark, off at daylight. When you turn the power off,
it's off.

FirstStar is superb on all counts. . . very bright, tiny current draw,
distinctive, auto daylight sense off-switch (saves power when you forget to
switch it off). Have had one since 1999. The latest model is even better.
It's just a bulb switch out for most masthead anchor light fixtures.
