I'll let you know what Aqualarm says. An alternative: Put a vacuum gauge (rated for fluids, of course) between the filter and raw water pump. Heck, you could put a pressure gauge after the pump. Either or both would give you visual indicators, once you figured out what normal values were. Seems simpler to me. BTW, I believe there may be an unused fitting in the water jacket for a temperature gauge, since I seem to recall that one of the alternate Yanmar panels had temp and oil pressure gauges in addition to the idiot lights and alarm. -- Jere Lull Xan-a-Deux ('73 Tanzer 28 #4 out of Tolchester, MD) Xan's Pages: http://members.dca.net/jerelull/X-Main.html Our BVI FAQs (290+ pics) http://homepage.mac.com/jerelull/BVI/ |

When we repowered with the 3GM30F, I opted for the panel with the tach, oil pressure and coolant temp gauges. I also have low oil pressure and overheat lamps with enunciator. Not the standard panel for this engine, but the engine installers made it work. Leanne Fundy |
