Most of the time when the pump is noisy it is the belt, not the pump.
Tighten the belt. Power steering pumps are metal gears, not rubber. "Tim" wrote in message ups.com... if it has power stearing, it may be actually in the pump. you might check the fluid level and see if it's burnt smelling, or smells like old rubber tires. if so, you might need it flushed. Tim |
