One of the great lessons about owning a boat is the power of nature to
thwart humans' efforts to build stuff that lasts - stainless steel
stains, plastics of all kinds succumb to solar radiation, aluminum
rusts, etc.

So time has come to polish up my flying bridge, about 100 feet of two
inch aluminum tubing. I don't want to start any fights, but what do you
all recommend?

Muskrat, I am going to MAKE YOUR DAY!

There is a product sold for corrosion prevention called Corrosion-X.
It's a tad expensive compared to other products, but think of it as wd40
on steroids. the stuff is AWESOME. I literally keep 6 spray bottles of
the stuff aboard.

Spray some onto a rag or cloth, and simply wipe the aluminium with it
lightly. It will gleam like polished stainless. No kidding. Try a bottle
and you will never want to stop using it.

Not affiliated at all with the company, I just love the stuff!

Had never heard of CorrosionX before, but will check it out. I assume it
does not damage the anodising, which I found that Never-Dull will (to my
dismay).
I've had good luck w/ Alumaguard , but it needs to be done on a regular
basis.
It seems that the anodised finish is quite vulnerable.

I'm not sure what you are saying; it appears the anodising is gone, but the
aluminum is not "bad off". I had used the Never Dull to remove some salt
water staining (after delivery from S Africa) because nothing else would,
and immediately wished I hadn't.
