Default lack of marinas in S. Florida

I have been searching the web for available marina space in south
Florida so that I can continue my cruise and leave my boat somewhere
for Hurricane season. It seems that the hurricanes last year so
damaged marinas that there is very little space available. I'd love to
leave her somewhere on lake Okeechobee but so far no luck in finding
anything.
Even the keys seem to be booked from boats leaving damaged marinas to
the north. I may have simply lucked out in finding a place in
Bradenton tucked so far out of the way with a tricky unmarked channel.
Any possibility of simply having her hauled and put on the bank for a
few months?
Any suggestions?
