Looking for opinions from users of same and if it would be suitable for use
on a Tanzer 26. General area of sailing would be Lake Ontario. Thanks in advance. Eric |

My very old Autohelm 1000 tiller pilot is still working and in good order on Lake Ontario, although I tend to use it only to keep head to wind under power to raise sails. I would say it's perfect for a T-26 tiller steered. I was very pleased with an ST800 that I used on my Contessa 26. It took
me from Lake Ontario to England. It would steer the boat in all but the worst weather. A solar panel easily kept up with the power used. The 800 at the time was recommended considering the linerar speed of the unit. I'm not sure that that is really an issue.
