Houseboating around Nashville TN???

Can someone tell me the names of rivers and lakes in the
Nashville area? Does anyone know if it's legal to live on
a houseboat in any bodies of water within about 30 miles
of Nashville? If so, which marinas are good for liveaboards?

The river going through Nashville is the Cumberland. The lakes are Old
Hickory and Percy Priest. Old Hickory is part of the Cumberland River
impoundments but and is accessible by a lock on the river. Percy Priest is
not. The lakes in this area are governed by the Army Corps of Engineers,
and their rules discourage liveaboard.

There is a marina called Rock Harbor on the Cumberland about 13 miles
downstream from Nashville that seems to allow liveaboard, however.

I live in the area, so if you'd like more info, please ask. Pls e-mail by
dropping the "nospam".

Rick
