Default British Virgin Islands Hurricanes

I am planning a 2 week bareboat charter in BVI starting 6 November. I did
some research and BVI appears to have been relatively unscathed by recent
hurricane activity. Can anyone give me their view for the conditions when I
will be cruising there please Nov 2004?

Thx Ray

====================================

Typical conditions would be something like highs in the mid 80s,
easterly winds less than 20 kts, light to moderate probability of
afternoon showers. As far as I know the BVIs have sustained no
hurricane damage this season.

As Wayne said, Temps in the mid 80s in the day mid 70s at night. Wind East
at 15-18 knots, 10 to 15% cloud cover and one standard shower about 3 AM
that lasts just long enough to make you close the hatches until the interior
temp reaches 100F. :-)

Heavy rains from Jeane caused some minor rock slides and a small washout on
the South Coast road but that has been fixed. More damaging was a recent
fire at Inner Harbor that distroyed the Bat Cave, Spagetti Junction and a
couple of boats.

Stop by the TTOL BVI forum if you want a wealth of advice from very
experienced BVI bareboaters:
http://www.traveltalkonline.com/foru...Cat=&Board=bvi You will
find advice on shore side accomodations, current condition of various boats,
entertainment, parties, resturants, provisioning and navigating to Anegada.
Also there is a calendar where you can find out who will be down at the same
time. We met TTOLer at Apple Bay, Foxy's, Sopers Hole and Anegada back in
August. Turned the trip into a real party.

Agreement with Glenn's post, but have some pics below that might whet
your appetite, all taken about the same time of year.
