Would like some input from anyone that has sailed the Panama to San
Diego route or the Coastlines along that route. If my time frame gives
me a lot of flexibility, what would be the ideal time frame to make
this trip?

I have only done the Mexico part of the trip but I know that the winds in
winter from about December to April are nasty between southern Mexico and Costa
Rica. That part of the trip is best in November or April and May if I remeber
correctly. I think if you started form Panama so you got to Costa Rica in
November and then spent the winter in mainland Mexico moved to Sea of Cortez in
April and in late May or early June went up the coast of Baja you could have a
nice trip. Early May is the worst time to go North along Baja.
