Default Freshwater liveaboard???, maybe in TN

I am interested in living on a houseboat, in an
area where it's legal to do it. I'm considering the
Chattanooga area at this time. I don't really
care to be in the city, but something within
about 30 minutes or so would be great. Can
anyone give any advice about that?

Also considering moving someplace and trying
to work on a river, like on a barge or something.
Again Chattanooga area would be a first choice,
but anywhere else that I could liveaboard year
round would be something to consider...especially
if it's within reasonable driving distance to some
snow skiing areas.

Lake Cumberland in KY?

Not connected to an industrial river, but a very nice live-aboard local.
