Yes, that's really too bad. At least they were well prepared and had
help near by. Boats can be replaced, people not so much..

Having lost our boat last summer I can certainly empathise.




It must be difficult watching a big part of one's life go down like
that from some unforeseen and probably unavoidable event. Must
leave an empty spot that is hard to fill.

Yes, empathy, for sure.

What happened?

Little navigational error that put us on rocks in a hard grounding
instead of in the tricky channel. Total constructive loss. Read all about
it in the February 2013 issue of Messing About in Boats. I can really,
really feel for those people who will become way too familiar with
somebody else's V-berth. Twenty eight years of sailboats gone. Insurance
payments do not compensate for the physical loss.



My condolences.
I'll look it up.
I hope no one was hurt.

But it could happen to anyone (except Wilbur, of course)
