Keep your religion to yourself (as instructed to do in your bible) and no one will bother you. *Real simple. As usual you know nothing, Pandora. And, you appear to know even less about the Bible. As Christians, the Bible says to NOT to keep Christianity to ourselves. Rather, the Bible teaches us to spread our religion throughout the world. Matthew 28:18 - And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matthew 28:19 *-Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus was speaking to his disciples, not to all men. *See Matthew 28:16-17 where it makes it clear he was only speaking to the eleven disciples. In Matthew 6:5-8, when speaking to the multitude he tells them to pray in secret, not out in public as the hypocrites do. Further, in Matthew 7:21-23 he makes it clear that doing things in his name, even prophesying and casting out demons, is not enough to gain entry into heaven. Mark 16:15 *- And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:16 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. In Mark 16:14 he makes it clear he is only talking to the disciples; also Mark 3:14. It is plain as day that Christians are tasked to spread the Gospel. Then why, in Matthew 9:30 does Jesus instruct the blind men not to tell anyone he healed them? well done. Thank you. the bible can be used to prove almost anything. Yep. i like ecclesiates. it has a paraphrase of the apache death chant in it.. There's a good deal of wisdom in it, even if much of it is on the depressing side. -- Pinky You seem to be an expert in depression...judging by your posts. Please pull the trigger next time. -- Art |

He's just alone and lonely and desperate. PKB! Heh. I'm actually enjoying being alone today as I just spent the entire weekend with 20 of my family. We ate, opened gifts, talked, drank a lot of wine and enjoyed one another's company. It was a special weekend as our son and his wife and daughters drove all the way from Reno, Nevada to spend the weekend with us. We had a wonderful time. Sorry you didn't. hard to be lonely in a small crowd of 20. i'm glad you had a good time. my sister and her husband and youngest came up from the ozarks to spend the week, and we had 24 at christmas dinner, only 17 at christmas eve dinner. Drat! And here I thought I'd had a lot of people for dinner. We seem to have the same ideas though. :-) we were fewer this year. my brother joe didn't fly in from los angeles, my sister becky and her husband were on vacation in south america, and my brother ray didn't show up, prolly mad at somebody. he usually is. i think our record one year was 30. Amazing! i prefer the independance day party, which is "mine". [we split up the different holidays.] if people get rowdy, we kick them outside. it's a bit cold to do that this time of year. Indeed it is, even here. We managed though without any rowdiness this year. so did we, for the most part. on wednesday before christmas we got it out of our systems with a sledding party. only one sledding accident [me] Hope you're okay. :-( just a filling knocked loose, and a few bumps and bruises. dangers of being near a bunch of little boys who can't really steer yet. Hehehehehe. I've been there myself. My husband calls me the "daredevil", aptly named I think. i'm okay y yyy yyy........ and one rollaround fight [2 nephews]. not bad. Not bad at all. We sent the 3 teenagers off to walk the dogs on Saturday while the turkey was cooking. We sent the younger 4 off to the playground with a several aunts and uncles. The 2 month old, of course, stayed home and did nothing but eat and sleep. The rest of us napped or visited while I got the turkey cooked. I had everything on the table by six pm and a hearty time was had by all. yay! My best friend (who also happens to be my second son's mother-in-law; long story), has decided that I'm the hostess of the year. :-) it's nice to be appreciated. Indeed it is. VERY nice. Makes me want to do even more. Perhaps a Valentine's Dinner? Since that is our daughter's birthday, that would be a good day. Or maybe not.... valentine's day is the closest holiday to my dottir's bday, as well as a dear little niece, best girlfriend and formerly my mama. i think a tea party might just be in order. i don't really appreciate astrology, but there is this funny pattern: I also find it interesting although I don't put any faith in it. when i was little my family was 3 saggitarians [me one], a virgo, and an aquarian. Mine were a libra, a taurus, a virgo, a gemini(me) and an aquarius. separated from most of my birth family, i picked out for best friends an aquarian, a virgo, and another saggitarian. i got married, and my children are an aquarian and a virgo. My children are a leo, an aries and an aquarius. silly patterns. I agree, but fun. :-) |
