Default Off we go again

Just threw the hook off Russel Island near Spanish Wells. You can see it on
tinyurl.com/flyingpigspot, and checking the "hybrid" will give you a
satellite view of the lovely place we're anchored, right in front of 4 major
houses...

Great internet signal here, easily phone and video grade, prolly thanks to
one of those houses!

Had a fantastic sail down; the SPOT shows how much faster we went when we
turned the corner after having to contiually bear off to keep the wind at
140 or so in the rock and roll...

"Believe me, my young friend, there is *nothing*-absolutely nothing-half so
much worth doing as simply messing, messing-about-in-boats; messing about in
boats-or *with* boats.

In or out of 'em, it doesn't matter. Nothing seems really to matter, that's
the charm of it.

Whether you get away, or whether you don't; whether you arrive at your
destination or whether you reach somewhere else, or whether you never get
anywhere at all, you're always busy, and you never do anything in
particular; and when you've done it there's always something else to do, and
you can do it if you like, but you'd much better not."

You should take the dinghy into town if you haven't done so already.
Interesting place, good supplies. The channel has been recently
dredged in the last couple of years so there's a good chance you could
make it in with the FP on a rising tide.

By all means take the Devil's Backbone over to Harbour Island. It's
easier than it looks and the Explorer Chart waypoints are spot on.

I don't think we'll take the Pig, but we're actively considering a dinghy
ride Wednesday assuming the forecast holds. We've dinked into town, and
also a long walk (misdirected unfortunately, cuz we missed the peak of the
surf at what would have been a very close location to where we came ashore)
to Preacher's Cave trying to find the surf on Saturday.

Yesterday got a car ride to Glass Window; impressive, to say the least. Log
and pix to follow.
