Default bewa garmin chart card 'trade in'

I'm sure i'm not the majority here; but it's frustrating none the less.

I had a chart that covered Washignton up to Port Hardy. I "tradfed it in" to
garmin (50% off) for the 2010 version.

I paid for that upgrade.

The chart I got back was for Washington-California (a less expensive, less
detailed card).

When I called they basicaly said "prove you had the old card" - when I told them
I sent back any proof I had; they said "sorry, you can't get that card then"
DESPITE PAYING FOR IT. When I told them I purchased the card directly from them
in 2008 (suprise)"We see no records for purchases from you in 2008, only 2010."

So I paid for a more expensive card, got a less expensive one -- I asked for my
2008 card back -_ "Sorry, we can't do that" -- now I'm off to buy the card at
retail prices... basically paid 150% of retail ..

THANKS GARMIN!

For what you pay for these chart cards, you think they'd be a little more
helpful. (No wonder so many people copy the cards -- garmin just rips them off
anyway they can..) This is the 2nd time they've sent me something wrong and I
had to pay for it... (the last thing was my GMI10 -- I sent it in for warranty
repair, they sent me back an older unit (at least by firmware) and I had no way
to field update it...)

If you paid with a credit card, you likely can dispute the charge.
