Default Diesel fumes can affect your brain, scientists say

http://www.reuters.com/article/healt...44145320080311

"Inhaling diesel exhaust triggers a stress response in the brain that may
have damaging long-term effects on brain function, Dutch researchers said on
Tuesday."

Is it any wonder why most motor boaters and many sailboaters who use their
diesels constantly seem so stupid and inept? Most of them that I have seen
can't do even the simple things like anchoring anymore without blotching it
completely and becoming a source of disruption and danger in an anchorage.
It is an unfortunate fact that diesel fumes accumulate in the low pressure
area towards the stern of a vessel and then get introduced forward into the
accommodation where they are breathed in by the occupants for hours on end.
