Default Out and about

So the snow is leaving. Roads are clear, but the bay and rivers are still
ice-bound. I decide to dust-off my bicycle and shake out the winter cobwebs.
50 degrees out, slight breeze, sunny. I drag the bike up out of the
basement, puffing a little. I pump up the tires, puffing a bit harder. I
make a loop around town, a mile and half door to door.

I thought I was gonna die.

Hello, spring. Good to see you again.

Hello, spring. Good to see you again.

Pretty well the same here. Nice and sunny today and the boat is still
covered in case it is a false dawn (or false spring) but today I got to work
on prepping the bottom for antifouling even though I was treading around the
boat in snow. I was the last out in the autumn because I have every
intention of being first in once the launching dock become icefree.
It has been a lot of snow this winter but always hovering just below zero
(celsius) so my snow thrower has had a lot of trouble blocking up with
solid stuff and I have had to resort to the shovel on many occasions.
I had planned to be ready to go by now.
