Highlights of Qualifications

€ I have lived aboard sail and power boats over 20 yrs
€ I have sailed the waters from Florida to Venezuela many times since the
early 1980`s
€ I know most all ports on all islands from Virgins to Venezuela

I have extreme experience in heavy weather sailing and with hurricanes,
having been aboard my own boat during 3 hurricanes including passing through
the eye of hurricane Hugo with sustained 160 kn winds for 12 hrs.

I DO NOT wish to do this again but if you need someone with hurricane
experience to help secure your boats and marina I will be at your service.



Professional Experience

Self employed 1980 - 1984
Owned and Captained charter and commercial fishing boats in florida

Took tourist on day and night fishing charters. During off season did
commercial fishing in Gulf of Mexico
Had 40 ft twin diesel sportfisher.

Still self employed 1985-1990
Lived aboard 31 ft sloop

Worked almost any job immaginable from Virgins to Grenada, boat yards,
resorts, watersports, chartered my 31 sloop.
Bought on lease purchase a 108 ft 3 masted schooner which I captained doing
charters throughout the caribbean islands.

Still self employed
1990-1997
Sailed to Venezuela, bought Shore Base Yacht Service

Met Desiree, my wife on Margarita island in 1990.

Together, Desiree and I Owned and operated Shore Base Yacht Service on
Margarita Island, Venezuela
We did all Government clearances ( Including Port Captain, Customs,
Immigration, Police, National Guard and Health Dept )for yachts and cruise
ships entering Venezuela, also had ships store selling Carribe dinghies and
all makes of outboards, yacht, and outboard repair and security service.
Averaged 2500 boats a year.
Also owned two restaurants/bars and worked as investigative journalist for
the largest media organization in South America

Still self employed
1997-Present
Moved back to U.S.

Bought a 34 ft sloop, refurbished it completely and sailed back to the
caribbean.
During this time period I did every type odd job from driving taxis,
delivering pizzas, selling fruits and vegies, running a car wash, painting
houses and apartment maintenance, etc.
I also made alot of money buying and selling antiques, collectibles amd
memorabillia on E-BAY, and doing custom digital photography on my computer.

Education

I have a high school education, have a 250 ton U.S. COAST GUARD CAPT LIC {
EXPIRED} , BUT I CAN EASILY RENEW IT IF NECESSARY.

I have 15 yrs experience on the internet, IBM & Mac platforms, specializing
in research, web site design, custom photography, and E-BAY sales.

I am 53 yrs old, american, caucasian, have been happily married for 14 yrs,
have 3 great kids, have never used drugs, am not wanted by any police
anywhere and my only vices are cigarettes and a few beers when not working.

I am honest, dependable, intelligent, speak spanish and english, experienced
in many areas and don`t mind hard work or long hours.

My wife is Venezuelan, beautiful, 30 yrs old, experienced gourmet cook,
hostess and is an avid sailor also...she is available for work also.
We work best as a team but can work seperately as well.

We are living in Ceiba, Puerto Rico and have a new car for transportation. I
also have a U.S. drivers license and have never had a ticket or accident.
