Rainwater submersion of the INSIDE of a I/O (bravo) drive?
Is there any damage probable from rainwater submersion of the INSIDE of a
I/O (bravo) drive? Problem 350 mercruiser with a bravo drive, 2001 year boat and under 300 hours. Boat neglected on lift, for various reasons heavy rain has filled the boat to the exhaust risers. Needed work anyway so water in the engine just means a new longblock, alternator, starter, wiring batteries etc.. But the back of the outboard leg was partially submerged so - as asked - is there any damage possible or probable to the back of the leg? Any mantenance suggested while the motor is out. thanks jerry |
