Default So where are the boatbuilders hanging out online these days?

When I was building my boat (in the 1990s) this forum was a hotbed of
discussion and information. Just got back here to rec.boats.building a
couple of months ago.
It seems quite 'quiet' (to be polite) - is there some other
place/forum/etc online where builders are exchanging ideas these days?
Surely there are more projects on the go than the traffic here would
indicate?

Just a guess, but there seems to have been a splintering into designer
oriented groups on Yahoo. The Bolger and the Buehler (aka
BackyardBoatbuilding2) groups are quite active as are the Atkins and Pelican
groups.

old tradisional plans with all the useal trouble lofting plans you

2000 members at various Yahoo groups ;

I know you allway's been busy --- pointing to Bolgers groups but, you
see, for those who don't think a lazy design in the cheapest cutoff
materials will make the beauty boat they rather would want, na in
Cyber-Boat you will not find cheap designs unseaworthy dinghies or
building the vorse **** , just for the fun of how cheap suck can be no.

Cyber-Boat offer nice tradisional boats designed to be build in real
wood, Cyber-Boat do not try temper designs just so that you could build
an non seaworthy build wreck, as boatsbuilding provide somthing better
--- beautifull designs compared somthing just the rain will render
useless while build in all the wrong materials to use for a boat.

In Cyber-Boat there will be a hull not a set of flat planks, there will
be beauty perfection, and remember, the measures hold. You can acturly
build a boat from these.

Sorry Mike I just think small boats shuld be beautifull not just a
piece of crap.

Do you mind me using these words ?

And Mike --- you know I promote Cyber-Boat that's my right , you oposed
do nothing, but pointing to somone whom you Think , shuld have a
helping hand by your sake, as you think life is hounting newsgroups
with a vain reply any time you usenet facist get a chance to spil your
tradisional poison.

Compared what you do ; harass folks that share free boatplans -- na
that's not it ,you proberly just want to do your old friends Bolger a
faviour and maby you think that svining and harasing any honest guy
with somthing usefull to share, guess I dont's share anything you
edore.
