I have just removed almost 500 mostly 1/4" bolts from my deck and coach house in preparation for a 2-part polyurethane paint job. It seems to me that temporarily filling the holes with some kind of caulking would make things easier on several counts - no paint drips below, no paint running out of the holes in vertical services and no problem sloshing water around when washing. Any suggestions as to what a suitable caulking material might be? john |
