old rubber underwater exhaust extensions
I was given 2 of these rather heavy red rubber items. they attach to
the transom with bolts or screws. They direct the exhaust flow down into the water. They are cut at the bottom at an angle. and have a slim profile where they enter the water. They must be over 15 yrs old or perhaps even much older. Has anyone ever seen these and what about a pee hole to see if the inboard water pump is working? Someone drilled two holes in them for this, but I was thinking of plugging the holes and running a slim polyethylene tube out the back to make sure the water pump is pumping water. Or possibly running a tube thru the transom and thru this hole that is already there. Any thoughts? |
